Simon Bolton-Gabrielsen is a creative film Producer, Director and Screenwriter based in Wakefield, in the north of England.
Simon trained as a professional singer in his youth, and as a performer in theatre, before transitioning fully into film as a creative professional, combining a fascination for the technical and engineering aspects of filmmaking with an informed, unique creativity.
After achieving the Northern Film School’s (UK) Masters degree in filmmaking, including co-producing the Student Academy Award-winning “Border Patrol”, Simon has gone on to develop independent creative and commercial production, refining high-level professional skills and resources to complement both of these professional outlets, and continues to screen original work in film festivals worldwide. Simon lectures in film practice at degree level, as well as running Yorkshire Screenwriters, a community development programme for screenwriting talent in the region.
A lover of philosophy, jazz and a good hat, Simon is a husband and father of three increasingly adult children, and engages with creative filmmaking in all its forms.
